The Cheerleading Worlds 2023 was one for the record books. It felt like a true return to normalcy, with teams competing from around the world in full force. More than 550 teams competed at this season’s event in 33 divisions. Ninety-nine globes were awarded, and many programs took home their first globe; a few won a World Champion title for the first time, others continued their winning streak, and some won for the first time in over a decade. To calculate CheerTheory’s annual weighted ranking, we award five points for first place, three for second place, and one for third place.
