It’s the start of a new season and in just a few days, teams will take home the first bids to the Cheerleading Worlds 2018. We wanted to take a look at where and when each bid event takes place, so we created a handy-dandy infographic, which you can see below.
Event producers across the country will award 372 worlds bids in December, January, February, March, and April. Of the 372 bids, 124 bids are full paid and 248 are at large. Over the course of 5 months, eligible level 5 and level 6 teams will have the opportunity to win one of the coveted bids to the Cheerleading Worlds.
Below, you’ll see a map that shows where the 42 events will take place and how many bids will be awarded. From the map, you can see that only 22 states will host events. Unsurprisingly, Texas will host the most events (5) and give out the most bids (54). Georgia, Ohio, New Jersey, and California follow closely behind and will also award a significant amount of bids.
The first weekend (this weekend!!) of the season will be a busy one with four events and 24 bids to award. We’ll be following along all season long with bid and competition results.
